Mr. Kiyotaka Ando

Mr. Kiyotaka ANDO
Chairman, Advisory Committee

Mr. Kiyotaka Ando is Executive Director, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Nissin Foods Company Limited (“Nissin Foods” or the “Company”, together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”; Stock code: 1475). He is responsible for strategic planning and managing the overall business and operations of the Group. Mr. Ando joined the Group in March 2009 and has been a director of a number of subsidiaries of the Company. Mr. Ando obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Keio University in Japan in March 2004. Mr. Ando joined Nissin Foods Holdings Co., Ltd. (“Nissin Japan”) in January 2008, and is currently a managing executive officer and chief representative, East Asia of Nissin Japan, and a director (non-executive in nature) of eight subsidiaries of Nissin Japan basing in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia and Malaysia.

 

In May 2021, Mr. Ando was appointed as a guest member of the standing committee of Tier I Association and vice president of Tier II Association of Noodle Products Branch of the Chinese Institute of Foods Science and Technology. Currently, he is a non-official member of the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food under the Environment and Ecology Bureau (previously known as Food and Health Bureau), the HKSAR Government; a director of School Management Committee, Hong Kong Japanese School and Japanese International School, Hong Kong; a member of the advisory board of the Research Centre for Comparative Japanese Studies, The Chinese University of Hong Kong; an advisor to Our Hong Kong Foundation; and a director of The Hong Kong Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Toshimichi FUJINAWA

Mr. Toshimichi FUJINAWA Member, Advisory Committee

Mr. Toshimichi Fujinawa is Executive Director. He is a director of certain subsidiaries of the Company and is responsible for overseeing and managing overall research and development functions of the Group. Before joining the Group, Mr. Fujinawa joined Nissin Japan in 1982 with his last position being the executive officer and deputy head of NISSIN Global Innovation Center of Nissin Japan. Between April 2008 and March 2014, Mr. Fujinawa served as deputy managing director of research and development division of the Company. Mr. Fujinawa has extensive experience in the fields of research and development related to food products. He obtained a Bachelor of Agriculture degree from Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine in Japan in March 1982. In May 2021, Mr. Fujinawa was appointed as a member of the standing committee of Tier II Association of Noodle Products Branch of the Chinese Institute of Foods Science and Technology. (As of August 2023)


Mr. Shinji TATSUTANI

Mr. Shinji Tatsutani is Executive Director, and Chief Financial Officer of the Group. He is responsible for overseeing and managing overall finance functions of the Group. Mr. Tatsutani obtained a Bachelor of Economics degree from Osaka Prefecture University in Japan in March 1987. Mr. Tatsutani has over 31 years of experience in finance and accounting. Mr. Tatsutani joined Nissin Japan in April 1987 and worked in accounting division until November 1996. From November 1996 to March 2002, Mr. Tatsutani was assigned to Guangdong Shunde Nissin Food Co., Ltd.. From March 2002 to March 2008, Mr. Tatsutani was re-assigned to Nissin Japan with his last position being manager in finance division. In March 2008, after re-joining the Group, Mr. Tatsutani has been a director of certain subsidiaries of the Company and is also a director of Nissin Shanghai Food Safety Institute. (As of August 2023)


Mr. Kazuo KAWASAKA

Mr. Kazuo Kawasaka served as an Executive Director of Nissin Foods from July 2018 until July 2023. During his tenure, he oversaw and managed the sales operations of the "Nissin (日清)" brand products in eastern China. Between 2007 and 2015, Mr. Kawasaka was a director of certain subsidiaries of Nissin Foods, overseeing the sales and marketing functions in mainland China. Prior to this, Mr. Kawasaka joined Nissin Japan back in 1988, and his last position was the assistant general manager in the marketing department. Mr. Kawasaka obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Ritsumeikan University in Japan in March 1988. (As of August 2023)


Mr. Yasuhiro YAMADA

Mr. Yasuhiro Yamada is Executive Director, and Chief Production Officer of the Group. He is responsible for overseeing and managing overall production functions of the Group. He is a director of certain subsidiaries of the Company. Mr. Yamada obtained a Bachelor of Agriculture degree from Kobe University in Japan in March 1981. Before joining the Group, Mr. Yamada was the Chief Production Officer of Nissin Japan, and oversaw its chilled and frozen foods, confectionery and beverages businesses. Mr. Yamada joined Nissin Japan in 1981 and has served in various positions in Nissin Japan. (As of August 2023)


Ms Blanche WONG

Ms. Wong Wai Fong Blanche, joined the Group in May 2018. She is currently the general manager of public relations department, responsible for overseeing corporate affairs, media relations, customer care centre, community relations, and internal communication of the Group. Ms. Wong obtained a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Communication (Journalism) degree from the Hong Kong Baptist University in 1994 and a Master of International and Public Affairs degree from the University of Hong Kong in 2005. She started her career as a court reporter and then spent five years in the marketing of U.S. produce in Mainland China and Hong Kong. She began serving as an in-house public relations professional in 2004, and brings with her a wealth of experience from industries across home appliances, payments, banking and NGO. (As of August 2023)


Mr. Junichi HONDA

Mr. Junichi Honda is Independent Non-executive Director appointed by the Company on 21 November 2017. Mr. Honda obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Faculty of Business and Commerce of Keio University in Japan in March 1970 and obtained a Master degree majoring in management and accountancy from the Graduate School of Business and Commerce of the same University in March 1974. Mr. Honda was qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in Japan in 1980. He has over 38 years of experience in finance and accounting. In July 1974, Mr. Honda joined Chuo Kaikei Jimusho Audit Firm as an accountant. From October 1983 to March 1987, Mr. Honda worked as an accountant in Deutsche Treuhand Gesellschaft Audit Firm. From April 1987 to December 2011, Mr. Honda worked in Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu with his last position being a partner.

 

Mr. Honda served as guest professor of the Graduate School of International Accounting of Chuo University, teaching international accounting course from April 2002 to March 2007. From April 2010 to March 2012, Mr. Honda served as a part time instructor of the Graduate School of Management of Tamagawa University. From August 2015 to July 2016, Mr. Honda served as an examiner of the disciplinary board of the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is currently a director of Hattori Gakuen, Incorporated School Institute. (As of October 2023)


Mr. Simon WALTON

Mr. Simon Walton has recently retired as the Principal of Japanese International School, Hong Kong (International Section). From 2007 until his retirement in 2022, he led the International Section of the school and worked closely with the staff and management of the Japanese Section of the school. Mr. Walton started as a primary school teacher in the U.K. and enjoyed an accomplished education career spanning 38 years with an extensive background in teaching, curriculum development, training and management in the international schools in Hong Kong. He obtained a Bachelor of Education degree from Durham University (U.K.) in 1984 and a post-graduate diploma from Exeter University (U.K.) in 2003. Currently, Mr. Walton is supporting some local charitable organisations, both as a volunteer and as a trustee. (As of February 2024)


Mr. James YU

Mr. James Yu is currently Managing Director at Find Asia Limited.  He obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Shanghai University and furthered his studies and research at Yokohama National University and New York University. Mr. Yu served as the Director of RGF HR Agent HK Ltd. from September 2009 to September 2013, following the integration with RECRUIT Co., Ltd. His responsibilities included Post M&A Integration (PMI), business development, and serving as an Executive Advisor for Southeast Asia. Currently, Mr. Yu serves as the Honorary Advisor of the University of Hong Kong, Director of Rikkyo University Hong Kong office, and holds the title of Visiting Research Professor at Fudan University in Shanghai and Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China. (As of February 2024)
